LawThek Legal Publication Contest
We are pleased to invite you to participate in our legal publication contest. The purpose of the contest is to promote outstanding legal publications and to make them accessible to a wider public.
The contest is open from 3 May 2023 until the end of 2023 and is hosted by LawThek Verlags GmbH. Entry is open in particular to law students, doctoral candidates as well as young and experienced lawyers who are currently working on or have already completed academically approbated pieces of writing in the field of law.
To submit your entry, please send a copy to info@lawthek-verlag.com no later than 30 November 2023, also acknowledging the terms and conditions. A panel of legal experts will carefully review all entries and select the winner, who will be announced in the course of a LawThek event at IRI§ 2024.
As a contestant, you will be given the opportunity to publish your piece of writing on the LawThek Legal Database including all its communication channels, thus making your work accessible to a broad audience. In addition, you will also be eligible to win a cash prize of EUR 3,000, EUR 2,000, or EUR 1,000 respectively, for your entry.
"Closing date for the contest is 30 November 2023, 23:59 CET. Persons 18 years or older may participate with a single entry in their own name. Participation in the contest is independent of the purchase of any merchandise. A panel of experts will review the entries and select the winner(s). The winner(s) will be announced at a LawThek event at IRI§ 2024. The organizer reserves the right to exclude certain persons from continuing participation, in particular due to manipulation attempts (e.g. through multiple entries by one person), or to cancel the contest in its entirety at any time without giving reasons. The prizes cannot be paid out in cash and cannot be exchanged for another prize. The action to legal recourse is excluded. Any personal taxes, duties, fees, and consequential costs incurred by the winner shall be borne by the winner. Any liability of the organizer and its vicarious agents and organs is limited to cases of gross negligence. Subject to typographical and printing errors.
Data protection notice: The following personal data of the participants will be processed in order to carry out the contest: Email address, first name, last name. These data will be collected and processed for the purpose of determining and notifying the winners by email. Without the provision of this data it is not possible to participate in the competition nor to be contacted regarding a prize notification. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.
